Our next stop is ‘Pemi River Campground’ in Thornton, New Hampshire. Not a campground for us, no TV reception no Internet available more or less a family campground a beach on the river canoeing very rustic. The fall foliage was just starting, went out touring the lower part of the White Mountains, a bit chilly, but still a great scenic ride. While we were there, we got to see the Highlands Games, a competition which they have every year. All the Scottish clans from around the world were there, and lots of men running around in skirts, had a good time and a unique experience.
