Linda had to stay behind in Florida for an extra few weeks because her mom needed surgery, Gerry continued onto Alabama. He stayed at ‘Azalea Acres RV Park’ in Robertsdale, Alabama. I was supposed to join him there, but things took a little longer with mom. He explored the area for the month while I stayed in Florida.
Nice campground lacks amenities but is a well-kept Park, a very reasonable location for stepping out and exploring the area.
The ‘Gulf Shore Beaches’ all well worth exploring this time a year, a bit cold for swimming but great for walking along the beach. The ‘National Aviation Museum’ as well worth the time if you’re into aviation history, took me two days to cover this Museum. Don't miss the ‘USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park’, besides the battleship is also a submarine worth touring, plus various other military memorabilia from World War II. Another worthwhile trip is along the ‘Gulf Islands National Sea Shore’, plus any Civil War buff has to visit to ‘Mobile Bay Forts’ (Fort Morgan and Fort Gaines).
