Pushing on, Gerry spent the night in the Welcome to Texas rest area, on I-10 while entering Texas from the east. Not a bad place if you’re here looking for a night stay, with TV reception and Internet.
Gerry arrived at the ‘Colonia Del Rey RV Park’ in Corpus Christi, Texas on February 10th. Linda left Florida on February 12th. It was a 1,200 mile ride for her, plus she was towing the ‘Car Kaddy’, it took her two days to get there.
Nice RV Park for an inter city location, it was a last-minute decision so we so we took what was ever available. We wound up at the site that would barely fit.
Took a ride through the ‘Padre Island National Park’, fantastic natural shoreline scenery and beaches, well worth the time. We also toured the USS Lexington, an aircraft carrier; quite an interesting adventure didn't realize the size of an aircraft carrier.
